We are proud to announce that Khademhosseini lab students Alex Bick, Sandeep Koshy and Mahdokht Masaeli have been accepted to world class graduate programs. Alex worked as an undergraduate student in the lab for four years, developing microfluidic hydrogels and understanding how cell-extracellular matrix interactions promote endothelial mesenchymal transformation. Alex will be attending the Harvard-MIT MD/PhD medical-scientist training program in the fall. Sandeep was a visiting student from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada who worked on developing a new hydrogel system for tissue engineering in our lab. Sandeep will matriculate in the Medical Engineering/Medical Physics doctoral program at Harvard-MIT. Mahdokht was a visiting student from Northeastern University in Boston and mainly worked on self assembly of hydrogels for tissue engineering. She is going to attend the Biomedical Engineering program at either Columbia University or UCLA. All three of these students published one or more papers while in our lab. We congratulate Alex, Sandeep and Mahdokht for their wonderful accomplishments and look forward to their continued development and success as scientists in the future.
