The Society for Biomaterials presented the 2010 Northeast Biomaterials Day Conference STAR Award to our own Dr. Matthew Hancock for an outstanding post-doctoral oral presentation entitled Generating long material gradients by convection and alternating flow in a microchannel. The Student Travel Achievement Recognitions (STARs) recognize research excellence and develop future leaders within the Society for Biomaterials. Dr. Hancock’s talk was based on a recent article published in the journal Biomaterials and co-authored with Dr. Yanan Du, Jiankang He, Jose Villa-Uribe, Ben Wang, Dr. Donald Cropek and Prof. Ali Khademhosseini.
