Prof. Khademhosseini was selected as the winner of the 2011 Pioneers of Miniaturization Prize by the Royal Society of Chemistry�s Lab on a Chip Journal and Corning Incorporated. The Pioneer Prize is awarded annually for extraordinary or outstanding contributions to the understanding or development of miniaturized systems. It one of the most highly recognized prizes in the field of micro-technology. Prof. Khademhosseini received this prize for his leadership in the engineering of microfabricated tissue structures with biomimetic architecture and function. The prize was announced at the 2011 MicroTAS meeting in Seattle.
