Dr. Parisa Abadi accepts a tenure-track assistant professor position at Michigan Tech

Parisa will join the Department of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics at Michigan Tech starting from spring 2017. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and has been a postdoctoral research fellow of the American Association of University Women at BIRC since July 2015. At Michigan Tech, Dr. Abadi will develop a program of research, teaching, scholarship, and professional activity in the areas of mechanical behavior of hierarchical materials, design of bioinspired materials, and application of nanomaterials in biomedicine.
