In Trends in Biotechnology a special issue on biofabrication, publishing August 17, researchers review and consider the progress made in 3D bioprinting and what might be possible in the decades–or years–ahead. We would like to congratulate Prof. Jeroen Rouwkema and BIRC Director Ali Khademhosseini for being considered pioneers in the 3D vasculature design and for contributing in this special issue in Trends in Biotechnology.
