Congratulations to Jeroen Leijten and BIRC Director Ali Khademhosseini who developed a new method to create hydrogel building blocks with single cell resolution for modular tissue engineering. This modular bioink-based approach provides a great promise in clinically effective tissue engineering applications due to the high-throughput, biomimetic, and versatile nature of the process.
