Dr Nureddin Ashammakhi is working on translational tissue engineering and regenerative therapy, with experience in bioabsorbable polymeric biomaterials, multifunctional drug release implants, and electrospun nanofibrous constructs. He obtained his PhD from Helsinki University, Finland. He was previously a Professor of biomaterials Technology in Tampere University of Technology, Finland, Chair of regenerative medicine, Keele University, UK and adjunct professor in Oulu University, Finland before joining UCLA as a visiting professor (Scholar).
