Peyton Tebon

Peyton is a native of Wind Lake, Wisconsin. He moved to UCLA to pursue his Ph.D. after completing his bachelor’s degree in BioMolecular Engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Peyton has a diverse research background from conducting studies at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (UWM), Promega, and MSOE. During his time at UWM, he focused on the development of algorithms for the resolution of protein structure from x-ray diffraction data. Peyton also spent a summer as the Scientific Applications Intern at Promega Corporation in Madison, WI. Throughout his senior year at MSOE, he led a team of undergraduates in developing a method to quantify the mechanical properties of cardiac fibroblasts. Outside of the lab, Peyton is an avid soccer player and day-hiker. He looks forward to contributing to the Khademhosseini lab at UCLA through research using organ-on-a-chip devices to improve tissue culture and model disease.
