Reihaneh Haghniaz

eihaneh was born in Rasht, Iran. She received her BSc in Biology from University of Guilan, Iran, in 2002, MSc in Genetics from Shahid Chamran University, Iran in 2006 and Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from Pune University, India in 2014.

She has a broad range of research experience in nanoparticles synthesis and characterization, nano-toxicology, molecular biology, animal cell culture, animal handling and nano-medicine development for cancer treatment.

Reihaneh joined Prof. Khademhosseini’s lab in October, 2017 as a Postdoctoral-Fellow and currently is working in “Soft Materials and Interfaces” subgroup. Her research is mainly focused on hydrogel synthesis and characterization for various biomedical applications, including but not limited to surgical sealant, drug delivery and capturing. She also has a keen interest in cancer on a chip and targeted cancer therapy.
