We are proud that our own Halil Tekin has been selected by MIT as the winner of the 2012 UROP Outstanding Graduate Mentor Award. This award is a highly distinguished MIT award given to research mentors who demonstrated exceptional guidance and teaching in research setting. Halil has spent a great deal of time working with and training UROP students in the lab. In last four years, he has mentored over seven MIT undergraduate students most of who were involved in publication of journal articles, conference presentations, and patent applications. The award, which is nominated directly by UROP students, is a testament to the great experience that these students have had while working with Halil in our lab. Congratulations Halil!
